Communications Volunteer (1 day a week)
We are looking for a creative and passionate volunteer to support the Fundraising Manager. If you’re looking to gain experience in marketing and branding, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills.
Thank you for your interest in Z2K (Zacchaeus 2000 Trust) and the role of Communications Volunteer.
Z2K is an anti-poverty charity that combines direct help for people with national campaigning to fight for a welfare benefits system that works. We believe that a secure income and stable housing are key to preventing homelessness and improving life chances for people and their families.
Our work ranges from disability benefits, homelessness prevention, through to housing people in the private rented sector. We use the evidence from this work to influence policy and system change. We work to ensure people understand their rights and are able to make choices based on this, have greater knowledge of the benefits system and are able to navigate this, are better able to contribute and take part in community activities and that those who want to are empowered to support our policy work.
This is a very exciting time to be joining Z2K as we step up our campaigns. Our turnover has grown year on year and doubled from around £300k in 2012 to £600k in 2018. As we seek new opportunities and build on our strong reputation, we expect to see this figure continue to grow and are working towards an income of £850k in 2021.
You will be joining a team that works collaboratively across all our work, working to achieve the best outcomes for our clients, and ensuring long-lasting policy change.
